Butterfly House
Project Description: A 420 square foot detached accessory dwelling unit located in the backyard of an existing single family residence, on a north-facing slope. The name, Butterfly House, refers to the shape of the roof.
Objectives: To provide a high standard of living in a small footprint with as little environmental impact as possible. The unit should be self-sufficient for energy use, water-efficient, and be constructed using sustainable and cost-effective methods and materials.
